Now Accepting Applications for RHCDC Board of Directors
RHCDC is seeking new board members who bring business experience, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to local community development. Ideal candidates are small business owners, licensed professionals, veterans, or civic leaders who live or work in El Monte, South El Monte, Rosemead, or Baldwin Park.
We are especially interested in individuals aged 30–50 who believe in legacy, stewardship, and practical solutions—not activism. If that sounds like you, we want to talk.
Experience in housing, construction, or financing (LIHTC/HOME a plus).
Local government or planning experience; policy-savvy.
Governance, HUD programs, financial oversight.
Donor engagement, corporate partnerships, or grant writing.
Public health or mental health experience.
Governance, HUD programs, financial oversight.
School administrators, mentors, or scholarship advocates.
Board members attend meetings every other month and serve on at least one committee such as Finance, Real Estate, Scholarships, or Community Outreach. Members help review financials, guide strategy, and expand our network of civic, business, and philanthropic partners.
Each board member serves a renewable three-year term. While no minimum financial contribution is required, members are expected to make introductions and act as ambassadors for RHCDC.
RHCDC is a federally designated Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). At least one-third of our board must be residents of or represent low-income communities. If you qualify under HUD guidelines, your voice is especially needed.
